Northern volunteers group

PROFILE OF NORTHERN VOLUNTEERS GROUP (NVG) Northern Volunteers Group (NVG) is a non profit volunteer's organization based in Tamale, city in the northern part of Ghana. The organization is non partisan, non tribal, non religious which is duly registered with registration number G.22, 088 under the confine law f Ghana. We seek to involve the youth in volunteering work in developmental project that aim at promoting culture in international boundaries, youth training programs which might come as an exchange programs with schools that we are trying to partner with as well as cultural events projects. We also try to involve organization that can really make us institute their country language in to our school cirriculum like what france has done with Ghana.

NVG also work with youth homes where different local products like kente weaving, sandals making, bead making, necklaces, batik tye and dye making are been tought for them to get the knowledge that would employ them at their end of the training. We believe that international organizations or school would love to work with us on this wonderful products ventures as we can work on voluntary services with international artisans and artist on various programs we have instituted.

We have alot of working areas that we work on and those are as follows:

1. . Working in Youth Homes: we provide support as well as educational training to youth who are vulnerable in all situations in live. Everyone know how these neglected youth need support in terms educational programs and moral for better future. We have about 2 youth homes currently that we work with in Tamale

2. Teaching English Language or subjects relevant to the development and growth of youth and children. We have quite number of primary and kindergartens (Day care Centres) for the children where volunteers can help in teaching in theses centre. We are therefore instituting international partnership to teach them wiith at least a language hence our need for partnership

3. Volunteers in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) training. Computer courses for the youth and also to the people so that they can also fit to the GLOBAL VILLAGE that ICT has brought. We help youth musicians, artisans, artists and others to use computers for their working areas

4. Volunteers in events and film concerts where we want international partnership to combine both our cultural events to theirs for exchange learning
