Mission Statement

Gabriel's Angels mission is to deliver healing pet therapy to abused, neglected and at-risk children, nurturing their ability to love and trust, thereby freeing them from the cycle of violence.

Description

Gabriel's Angels provides Pet Therapy to more than 12,000 children in the Phoenix metropolitan area and Tucson each year. Children who are victims of abuse or maltreatment typically repeat the cycle of violence they experience by becoming abusers themselves. We attempt to intercept this cycle through our Pet Therapy activities. In addition, as adults are typically their abusers, these children tend not to trust adults, yet welcome & use the unconditional love of an animal as a means of expressing their feelings. Through our Pet Therapy, we also teach these children love, empathy, respect, compassion and self-esteem.
