Mission Statement

Dedicated to improving the educational and career opportunities of young people in Los Angeles. Our mission is to improve academic achievement as well as college and career access and success for students in the Westbrook Academy, the South Los Angeles Transmit Empowerment Zone (SLATE-Z) and Southeast cities, and beyond. We would like to invite you to join us in our mission!

Description

At LA Promise Fund, we believe that every young person deserves a fair chance to succeed, regardless of their background or circumstances. Partnering with schools, community organizations, and businesses, together we work to provide youth from marginalized communities with the skills, knowledge, and support they need to be successful in college, career, and life.

We are currently looking for volunteers that align with our beliefs and mission and that want to get involved with our programs. Together we would be able to make a huge impact on the southeast & south LA communities.

To give you an idea of our work, we currently offers these regional signature programs that address different social issues and student needs.

We believe that the programs we offer are critical in providing young people with the skills, knowledge, and support they need to achieve their full potential. We offer several volunteer opportunities if interested: mentoring, food pantry distribution, tutoring, career education and college access opportunities.
