Mission Statement

High Achievement’s mission is to develop critical academic habits and attitudes in vulnerable middle school children ('scholars’) from underserved inner city neighborhoods in order to improve their grades, standardized tests scores, and attendance, and increase their educational opportunities through acceptance and scholarships to private, parochial, and public high school programs.

Description

Higher Achievement offers an intensive academic afterschool program that helps middle school students reach their full potential in high school, college and beyond with the help of volunteer academic mentors.

Mentors teach up to three Higher Achievement scholars in either an academic subject or a college preparatory skill such as career exploration, public speaking and technology.

One evening per week from 6:00 - 7:00 pm M/T/TH throughout the school year.

WE PROVIDE THE CURRICULUM, TRAINING AND SUPPORT!

We have three locations:

Homewood - Pittsburgh Westinghouse

Hill District - Pittsburgh University Prep

West End - Pittsburgh Langley
