Description

Diagnosed with melanoma at the young age of 23 I was not aware of the severity of the disease and was very distraught by lack of treatment options for late stage diagnosis. Awareness is key for early detection of this deadly skin cancer due to the fact that melanoma is rare that it presents itself before later stage symptoms are felt.

Once a year we put on a fundraiser with live music, bbq, college football, yard games, and more. It is set at our rustic cabin on the Chattahoochee River in the North Georgia mountains. All of our funds will go towards melanoma research and we hope to bring awareness of melanoma to the population specifically the young adult and teenage population where melanoma is being seen at an increasing rate.
