Free and confidential services offer alternatives to abortion. Lay counselors/mentors educate clients on the risks of abortion and fetal development. Pregnancy tests are administered and immediate results given. Community resources and referrals assist with parenting classes, prenatal care, obtaining a GED or higher education, food, life skills, budgeting, interviewing and other job skills, resume writing, job search and others. Clients choosing to parent are encouraged to visit our maternity clothes closet. Towards the end of the pregnancy or soon after the baby is born, the client receives a gift layette for baby filled with diapers, blankets, clothes, and other items. A Woman's Haven serves the city of San Antonio and surrounding areas, all demographics, races and ethnicities.
