Mission Statement

Catholic Charities of Dallas is a family of human services, working together to strengthen families and help them move toward self-sufficiency.

Description

Each year, thousands of people flee their homes and their countries in fear of persecution and war. Catholic Charities helps to resettle some of these people in the Dallas area, and assists them in becoming self-sufficient. Our services include refugee resettlement, cultural orientation, education and employment.

We have a variety of volunteer opportunities in each of these service areas. You can teach ESL classes, mentor newly arrived families, help prepare apartments for new arrivals, grocery shop, or help locate jobs. We have plenty of opportunities that can be performed independently, including nights and weekends.

Volunteers do not need to speak other languages or have to be familiar with other cultures. And you don't have to be Catholic to volunteer with any division of Catholic Charities of Dallas. For more information, please visit our website.

We offer an information session and new volunteer orientation once a month, usually on the third Saturday morning. Call or email us for details and the next available date.
