Catholic Charities is in great need of friendly volunteers to help staff our reception desk. The people that visit or call our office deserve a welcoming, warm reception. This opportunity involves greeting our clients, answering the phone and directing callers to the appropriate staff person, completing light data entry work and supporting staff, as needed. *Spanish speaking preferred* Volunteers are needed for morning and afternoon shifts (8:30am to 12:30pm and 1:30pm to 4:00pm) two to four days a week. Choose as few or as many shifts as you like. We love and appreciate each and every one of our volunteers and welcome you becoming a part of our team. Be the bright spot in the day of someone who needs it!

Willing to use your muscles? Furniture pick up volunteers needed!

Catholic Charities is in need of volunteers who are willing to use their muscles to help staff pick up furniture donations from donor's homes in our box truck. Furniture donations are picked up and transported to our warehouse or to the home of a Refugee or Veteran family working with Catholic Charities. This volunteer opportunity does not have a set schedule but volunteers would work closely with the volunteer coordinator to schedule pick up times based on need and availability. We would love to have you as a part of our volunteer team!

Working with Refugee Children

Work with energetic elementary aged children in an after-school program setting. Students need help with homework, language study, doing crafts, science projects and other fun afterschool activities such as kickball and soccer. This is a wonderful opportunity to lend a hand, be a leader and learn about a culture different from your own. The volunteers need to be reliable, and able/willing to assist with planning and leading the activities in conjunction with the staff. **Our after-school programs run from 3:00 to 5:00 pm Monday and Tuesday. Also needed are one on one tutors with with flexible schedules willing to go into the home. We also need volunteers aged 21 and over who are willing to help with transportation as needed. Help Set Up Beautiful Homes for Refugee Families!

Get the amazing feeling from setting up a new home for a refugee family! Our Homemakers of Mercy group needs more volunteers to help set up beautiful homes for refugee families. When a family is able to secure permanent housing, our group is called upon to pull together the furniture and other household items needed to set up the house or apartment. On the day that the home becomes available, our group takes those items to the home using the Catholic Charities box truck and sets up the home once other volunteers have unloaded the furniture. The homes always look amazing and the gratitude families feel for the new homes cannot be measured!

We are seeking friendly and enthusiastic people to answer our phones, greet clients, take messages, and handle light office work like shredding and filing. Sometimes, we even have special projects for volunteers to work on. Hours are Mondays through Thursdays 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for mornings and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. for the afternoons. You may volunteer 1 day a week, or 1 day a month, -- whatever fits your schedule! Training is provided. If this sounds like something you would enjoy please reply!! Catholic Charities (CCDOC) Refugee Resettlement program is an affiliate of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), one of the national voluntary agencies participating in the federal government's refugee resettlement program. For the past 30 years, the CCDOC Refugee Resettlement program has embraced the mission of providing quality services and a caring support system that will empower our refugee clients to become self-sufficient, self-reliant, and productive members of society. On average, CCDOC Refugee Resettlement program resettles and supports between 350 and 400 refugees per year. All of our services are non-sectarian and do not promote any religious belief or affiliation.
