Friends of the SFPL

We have multiple events that support and raise money for the San Francisco Public Library. We're recruiting volunteers to assist in our book stores, book sales, author and library events. We also have some youth specific programs including Book Buddies- a colloborative project with select SF hospitals.
Mission Statement
The Friends and Foundation of the San Francisco Public Library is dedicated to creating,stewarding,and supporting a superior free public library system in SF. We are committed to raising the standard of excellence of our libraries by funding programs and services beyond what's allocated in the City's budget. We believe in free and equal access to information for all.
