MODA advances the understanding and appreciation of design as the convergence of creativity and functionality through exhibitions, education, and programming for visitors of all ages. We pursue our mission because we envision a world that celebrates design as a creative force that inspires change, transforms lives, and makes the world a better place.

Description

MODA was formerly known as the Atlanta International Museum of Art & Design. In 2003, the MODA Board of Directors, staff, and community advisers made the decision to redefine the museum’s mission and direction and the Museum of Design Atlanta was born.

Based on my experience thus far, I cannot recommend MODA Museum of Design Atlanta. I responded with an interest in volunteering days ago and there has not been any kind of follow-up whatsoever. I know there can be many reasons for this, as I have worked with volunteers and those offering their time or services. Yet I can say that my concern is not a personal one, but professional as in the apparent lack of it reflected by someone at this organization at the very outset. I hope it does not speak volumes about the institution and how they interface with the community and their constituents and or those who support it.
