About United Way of Santa Rosa CountyUnited Way of Santa Rosa County is a local, non-profit organization governed by county volunteers. Through our partnership with local businesses, we facilitate an Annual Campaign to raise funds that help our partner agencies. These local agencies assist our citizens in need.

Description

United Way of Santa Rosa County (UWSRC) is a nonprofit organization under Section 501 (c) 3 of the Internal Revenue Code. Its Board is comprised of 36 volunteer members which have complete control and insight into the management of United Way's Funds distribution. The board's major task is to be vigilant protectors of the contributors most basic interest: Seeing that their contributions are used for the best interests of Santa Rosa County Citizens. Currently, UWSRC helps fundraise for 14 Santa Rosa County nonprofit agencies, including: ¨ Big Brothers, Big Sisters ¨ Habitat for Humanity ¨ Girl Scouts Council ¨ Boy Scouts of America ¨ Early Learning Coalition ¨ Interfaith Ministries ¨ Santa Rosa Community Clinic ¨ Betty J. Pullum YMCA ¨ American Red Cross ¨ Project Graduation ¨ The ARC ¨ FavorHouse ¨ Family Resource Program In addition, UWSRC hosts its own community-oriented projects including: Coats for Kids: New and gently used coats are collected for children and adults in need. Cram the Van: A school supply drive for kids of all ages. Day of Caring: Groups of volunteers are assigned projects to fill community needs.

First Call for Help: This one-stop information referral service helps to point callers in the direction of organizations who can assist needs ranging from personal assistance, housing, employment, medical needs, clothing, etc. (850) 983-7200.

Fishin' with a Mission: This new annual fundraising bass fishing tournament benefits United Way and its local agencies. Service Point: This web-based application helps service providers with referral tracking, resource data and case management.
