STEAC provides cash assistance for rental, utilities and miscellaneous expenses. Material assistance is provided in the form of food, general clothing, clothing for jobs through the Suit Up for Success Program and furniture. STEAC also provide assistance through an annual Holiday Adopt a Family Program.
Mission Statement
The mission of the Short Term Emergency Aid Committee (STEAC) is to provide immediate short-term assistance with basic necessities to vulnerable Yolo County families and individuals with incomes below the poverty level. Assistance may include help with rent, utilities, furniture, clothing, food and other basic necessities. STEAC is committed to enlarging the social awareness of the community and to providing opportunities for local citizens to help others in need.
