Mission Statement
Junior Achievement's purpose is to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy. At Junior Achievement we believe in "possible." Each day, we work to help young people discover what’s possible in their lives. We do this by helping them connect what they learn in school with life outside the classroom. We let them know it’s possible to invest in their future, to gain a better understanding of how the world works, and to pursue their dreams. We show them that it’s possible for tomorrow to be a better day.
Description
By partnering business and education, Junior Achievement recruits volunteers to facilitate hands-on, financial literacy-orientated lessons for students in 4-12. Corporations, industry, small business, foundations, individuals, and others contribute financial and volunteer resources who want to invest in the quality of local education. Junior Achievement of Central Carolinas Action Council members believe in creating a lasting, positive impact on the lives of young people through financial literacy, work readiness and an entrepreneurial mindset.
