Would you recommend The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society - Indiana Chapter?
I volunteered at a water station operated by this organization during a marathon. It was a very worthwhile experience--and fun! There was plenty of work to keep me busy, but enough volunteers on hand to keep it from getting overwhelming. The people in charge of the event were friendly and genuinely appreciative. I will keep an eye out for future volunteer opportunities with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and will encourage my friends and family to join in with me the next time.
I endorse any organization which works to raise money & awareness to the horrible blood cancer diseases. This is especially true since Leukemia claimed the life of my Brother's wife (and nephew/neice's mother) in only 49 nine days! Leukemia & Lymphoma and the other diseases they fight are devastating and horrifying and need to be abolished!
