The Food Bank @ St. Mary's serves over 1500 walk-in clients a week as well as delivering food to home bound seniors, schools and community programs. We are open for food distribution on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and for other tasks on Tuesday and Thursday. We have volunteer opportunities for various positions now: food distribution and sorting - must be able to lift weight, 9;30-1:30pm MWF delivery driver - must have own car, 1-2 shifts on Thursdays If you have a few hours a week to give to your community, please email volunteer@thefbsm.org or call 206-338-7215 ext. 23 or visit our website thefbsm.org.

Our morning Pick Up Drivers come in at 8:00am and pick up food donations from two locations. Drivers use a food bank van. Drivers may also help us by taking our recycling to the recycling depot. This shift is finished by 11:00am. Volunteers must have a valid WA driver's license and a clean driving record and should be comfortable driving a van. Volunteers should also be able to lift at least 30 pounds comfortably. We are looking for drivers Monday through Sunday. Training is provided and will involve riding along with a volunteer or staff member a few times to gain understanding of the process. More information can be provided upon request. ****Want to help out with this, but can't commit to a weekly schedule? We are also looking for substitute drivers to fill in on an as-needed basis!****

Description
We have been operating in Seattle's Central District for over 60 years, and we now serve approximately 1,200 families per week with free nutritious food. We serve any person who lives within the city of Seattle. We have a small staff and could not operate without the help of our volunteers.
