Mission Statement
At the Massachusetts Commission for the Blind, we see a world where vision loss is no longer a barrier to independence and self sufficiency. To make this a reality, our mission is to eliminate barriers by providing rehabilitation and social services to individuals who experience vision loss, leading to independence and full community participation.
Description
The Massachusetts Commission for the Blind (MCB) is a statewide agency within the Executive Office of Health and Human Services that provides direct services to more than 30,000 legally blind residents of all ages of the Commonwealth. This includes Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment Training Services, Independent Living Social Services, Intependent Travel Training, Childrens and Elder Social Services, Assistive Technology and Advocacy.
