The Society has been helping individuals in Santa Clara County with food, clothing, shelter and other basic necessities since 1941. It was founded in 1833 in Paris, France, to help the poor of that city and the concept of neighbor-to-neighbor assistance quickly spread around the world.
Mission Statement
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul, a lay Catholic organization of Santa Clara County, leads, supports, and guides people to join together to serve the needy and to grow spiritually.
