Mission Statement
BABES Network is a sisterhood of women facing HIV together. A peer-based program of the YWCA of Seattle · King County · Snohomish, BABES reduces isolation, promotes self-empowerment, enhances quality of life, and serves the needs of women facing HIV and their families through peer support, education and advocacy. BABES also seeks to curb the rising rate of new HIV infection among women by providing quality prevention-based educational outreach.
Description
BABES Network Services Description:
Provides peer counseling, advocacy, support groups, special events, referrals, education and outreach to women living with HIV in Washington State. BABES also provides prevention-related outreach to women in high schools, homeless shelters, jails and treatment centers. Our monthly newsletter, BABES Talking, reaches women around the world.
