I've volunteered at CHMC for almost 2 years and thoroughly enjoyed my experience there. Tracy (director of volunteer services) and Dolores (administrative assistant) were very helpful and accommodating. I had the opportunity to volunteer in different departments of the hospital and learned so much from these experiences. I had the ability to help the patients, visitors, and health care professionals, which was extremely rewarding.
I highly recommend CHMC for those that are looking for a rewarding and fulfilling experience.

A truly great experience working at CHMC got to meet many different encouraging people. Learned new skills that I was able to apply to the job environment. This also gave me a change to work in the community that I grew up and the experience of being in a hospital. This was a great experience. I will definitely be telling people of this volunteer opportunity that CHMC offers.

I started volunteering at California Hospital Medical Center this year and I found it a very fulfilling experience. I sing and play the piano in the main lobby for visitors and some patients that can join us and sometimes help with other activities. Everybody is wonderful there and I see myself helping others at the hospital for as long as they can have me. Great experience and I would like to invite everyone to join the team and make a regular day a wonderful one with a little bit of music and selfless service. Thank you CHMC for the opportunity.

I began volunteering at California Hospital Medical Center (CHMC) in March of 2015 to build my resume with clinical experience. Tracy, the Director, suggested the "Yum Yum!" and "Meal Mate" positions since I was a dietetics major, and I am so glad she did. When it came time for me to apply for dietetic internships, I had more than enough experiences to write about. Volunteer Services was extremely flexible with my schedule, and the entire Dignity Health team made each visit warm, friendly and fun. Thank you CHMC, Tracy, and Dolores for helping me become a competitive candidate!

California Hospital Medical Center provided me with amazing volunteer experience that I can use towards my career choice. The staff was extremely friendly, caring and helpful and interacting with patients provided me with great experience that I can use in a hospital setting for future jobs. So extremely happy I volunteered here. I highly recommend it!
