Zink the Zebra Foundation
The story, Zink the Zebra, was written by 11-year-old Kelly Weil who had cancer. Zink has spots instead of stripes, symbolizing how Kelly felt. Her father created the foundation after she died to create educational programs teaching understanding, compassion, respect and acceptance of others. Currently, there are school programs for grades K-8, camping programs, the Girl Scout patch program, after-school programs and many more!
The Mission of Zink the Zebra is to promote the understanding and acceptance of human differences though specially created character education programs that help children and adults realize the necessity to respect and show compassion toward others.
