Experience Corp is beneficial to everyone. I get tremendous benefits. I have something new in my life. I get the satisfaction of doing some good. I’ve met fabulous people. Teachers and administrators benefit from the support the volunteers give. Students benefit from individual attention. It is a win/win situation.

Experience Corps gives me the opportunity to mentor Elementary School children. Opportunities are not restricted to San Francisco. There are some other Bay Area Cities covered by Experience Corps. Although I tutor in Math, there are many opportunities to tutor in just about any area that you are passionate about. Also, Experience Corps has opportunities for tutoring Middle School and High School students. There is also the possibility of being paid for performing this wonderful service for our children! With the current funding problems, there is a dire need for tutors to lower the class ratio of teacher to students. Our students need personalized help! Experience Corps is very supportive of its mentors. I will definitely continue to volunteer with Experience Corps.
