Mission Statement
The Idaho Coalition Against Sexual & Domestic Violence is dedicated to engaging voices to create change in the prevention, intervention, and response to domestic and dating violence, stalking, and sexual assault.
Description
The Idaho Coalition Against Sexual & Domestic Violence provides technical support to over 80 shelter programs, counseling programs, law enforcement, victim witness units, prosecutors, and allied professionals - advocating for the safety and rights of victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. As a technical support provider the Coalition must keep up to date with the current information and research on the best practices relating to domestic violence and sexual assault, masculinity and gender based violence, elder abuse, lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender intimate violence as well as suicide and domestic violence issues. To accomplish this important work the Coalition must carry out thorough research on scholarly articles, reports, publications and links to organizations addressing domestic violence to better help design and implement effective programs.
