Mission Statement

The metropolitan development council is a non-profit community action agency serving the pierce county -tacoma since 1964. At our early childhood center we will give your child the opportunity to grow and develop independently, gain self direction and learn through their interest. Parents are a child's first and most improtant teacher. We welcome your experience and involvement with your child at anytime.

Description

we offer services to children and their families ranging from 6 weeks of age to 11 years of age. We offer free preschool to qualifying 3 an 4 year olds ( ECEAP/headstart program) We offer family support for all families helping them become more self sufficient. We help with many of their needs, ranging from helping them with their light bills, find housing, parenting classes, job search, to offering many fun monthly family events.
