Mission Statement
The mission of Hope's Door is to offer intervention and prevention services to individuals and families impacted by domestic abuse and to provide educational programs that enhance the community's capacity to respond.
Description
Hope's Door is the only domestic violence shelter and counseling center in Collin County. The 24-hour crisis line began 1986, and the shelter opened in 1989. Hope's Door has provided safe shelter for almost 4,000 women and their children and answered over 16,000 crisis hotline calls.
Since the services provided to the survivors of domestic violence are free, we depend greatly on volunteers and donations. The services we provide include: 24 hour crisis hotline, emergency shelter, individual and group counseling, legal advocacy, transitional housing, and assistance with essential needs (clothing, food, personal care items etc.).
Hope's Door also offers men and women's BIPP (Battering Intervention and Prevention Program) and has a resale boutique called Crissa's Closet.
