Founded in the spring of 2000 at Columbia University, a leading institution for psychiatric research and training, we are the only university-based center to focus exclusively on building consensus for best practices, disseminating that information to those who can make a difference, and providing hands-on training and research to apply this information to effectively treat childrenâ??s mental health in communities nation-wide.
Mission Statement
CACMH builds Partnerships for Change with families, health providers, schools, and organizations caring for children and youth with behavioral and emotional problems. With these partners we promote proven treatments and services, and "put science to work" to close the gap between research and practice.
