We call this program "Taste of Hope" because that's exactly what you're giving to critically ill children and their families by preparing and serving a meal to them at Cincinnati’s Ronald McDonald House. Bring a group of your friends, family, coworkers, church, etc. and work under the direction of our culinary team to make lunch, brunch or dinner for the families who call our House "home" while their children get the care they need. Weekend Volunteering

Do you have a few free hours on the weekend that you could spare to help the families of Ronald McDonald House of Greater Cincinnati ? We are largest RMH in the world and have the ability to serve 177 families each night. Guest Services Volunteers help provide families at Ronald McDonald House with a pleasant and comfortable stay by assisting staff with the daily operations of the House and by providing support to our guest families as needed. Our volunteer positions include Welcome Desk, Host of the House, House Refresher, Early Bird, Late Owl, Kitchen Refresher and Maintenance. Our scheduling is flexible for all work, family and life schedules. Your training, orientation, and scheduling will be managed by our Volunteer Manager. You will report directly to the Manager on Duty for your volunteer shifts. This is a great opportunity to learn new skills or brush up on existing ones while you work with a diverse group of people from all around the world. Pull Some TABS!

Flexible Schedule | Virtual Opportunity

The little tab you pull to open your soda can makes a big difference for the families living at Ronald McDonald House. Instead of throwing them away, donate the aluminum tabs from your cans to RMH and help us ensure that no family in need is turned away. All the funds we earn by recycling tabs helps to cover costs in our home-away-from home. Tabs can be dropped at Ronald McDonald House any day of the year between 9 AM and 9 PM or delivered to one our local recycling partners who will mail a check directly to us. Host of the House

As a Host of the House, you will provide a warm and welcoming environment for groups coming in to prepare meals meals. Hosts get groups signed in, go over basic information about the House, show a video tour of our House and then proceed by assisting the chef on duty in leading meal preparation. Mission Statement: Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Cincinnati provides a supportive "home away from home" for families and their children receiving medical treatment at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, regardless of their ability to pay.

Description

Ronald McDonald House Charities, a non-profit, 501 (c) (3) corporation, creates, finds and supports programs that directly improve the health and well being of children. Its grassroots-driven programs offer help where children need it most - right in their own communities. RMHC makes an immediate, positive impact on children's lives through its global network of local Chapters in 52 countries and regions and its three core programs: the Ronald McDonald House, Ronald McDonald Family Room and Ronald McDonald Care Mobile. These programs provide a bridge to accessible health care and allow families more time together, which helps in the healing process. RMHC and its global network of local Chapters also have hundreds of millions of dollars in grants and program services to children's programs around the world.

There are so many reasons to volunteer with Ronald McDonald House. My time there was time well spent, and if I was able to volunteer here again I would in a heart beat. This is truly a special place to volunteer at.

Ronald McDonald House of Greater Cincinnati is a place where you feel good just walking through the front door. Not only are the staff and other volunteers happy to see you but so are the residents. Now that RMH of Greater Cincinnati is expanding there will be an increased need for volunteers. If interested the volunteer coordinator is Stephanie Crellin and she (along with the rest of the staff) are true gems.
