Mission Statement

TiZ Media Foundation (TMF) is a newly formed tax exempt, not-for-profit entity dedicated to promoting digital equity through non-traditional educational programs. TMF is focused on using multimedia, online technology, and community to create multicultural K-16 educational programs. One of the core missions of the TiZ Media Foundation is to create and implement innovative ways to provide urban youth with the inspiration and confidence they need to pursue careers in science and math. Our latest project, MindRap, uses a hip hop website portal combined with multimedia and intergenerational mentoring to teach algebra.

Description

TiZ Media Foundation, was officially established as a not-for-profit entity in August of 2002 and is now nationally networked with a board of directors consisting of professionals in the fields of education, technology, woman's studies, workforce diversity, interactive telecommunications, art, music, law, and multimedia production. The collaboration of this diversified sector of leaders is fueled by the core mission of TiZ Media Foundation.
