Goodwill Industries of Greater Detroit provides people who have disabilities and other barriers to employment with opportunities to become independent, self-supporting citizens through training, work experience and employment in the community.

Goodwill Industries of Greater Detroit has eight sites in the metropolitan area that provide a comprehensive array of programs and services to help individuals become self-reliant despite the barriers thay may face. Those who have a history of mental illness or developmental disability, are ex-offenders, are living with HIV/AIDS, are economically disadvantaged, are at-risk youth, have a physical disability or have struggled with substance abuse or homelessness, all can become self-sufficient or more independent in their community. Specific programs target specific populations.
