The purpose of this new university is to create a spiritually and intellectually stimulating campus environment, preparing students to lead productive, responsible, and creative lives. The faculty interpret for, and share knowledge with the students, applying it for the benefit of society as a whole. The University is guided by the example and teachings of Jesus Christ and promotes spiritual, moral, and social values.
Mission Statement
John Paul the Great Catholic University is a visionary teaching institution focused on molding students into future innovators, leaders and entrepreneurs, with a deep and personal knowledge of Jesus, and infused with fundamental Catholic ethical, moral, and social values. The university, using the senior business plan process, brings together teams of students from the business, technology and communications media fields to create entrepreneurial ventures, and to guide their incubation and launch. It has a vibrant and faithfully Catholic community, welcoming to those of all faiths, and located in San Diego County.
