Hippotherapy is a treatment strategy that utilizes the multidimensional movement of a horse. Hippo from the Greek word "Ippo" meaning horse. Hippotherapy helps improve neurological function and sensory processing. Hippotherapy facilitates improved balance, posture, mobility, communication and behavior for patients of all ages and many disabilities. Specially trained therapist use activities on the horse to assist the client to meet treatment goals.
