Mission Statement

The mission of Voices For Children of Carroll County is to speak for the best interest of abused and neglected children in court, to promote and support quality volunteer representation for children and to advocate that each child have a safe, permanent, nurturing home.

Description

Voices for Children of Carroll County is the local Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) program in Carroll County, Maryland. Voices for Children empowers everyday citizens to speak in the best interest of Carroll County's children who have suffered from abuse or neglect and are in need of a safe and permanent home.

Voices for Children of Carroll County volunteers are trained, unpaid volunteers appointed by a judge, who work together with key county agencies, legal counsel, and community resources to represent the best interest of a child in juvenile court. The advocate is a friend, role model and often the only constant figure in a child's life.

Voices For Children of Carroll County is a member of the National CASA Association and an affiliate of the Maryland CASA Assocation.
