Dallas Christmas Cheer

From these roots Christmas Cheer continues to grow and is a well-known, well-respected local non-profit 501c3 organization that helps families who have fallen on hard-times or for those who have so honorably served us through military service. Christmas Cheer reaches about 200 families each year. Each family we serve receive a food box that has enough food for the holiday meal and beyond. The box also includes books for the children, gifts for senior citizens and more recently toys for the children. We know those families served feel blessed but equally those in our community who give so graciously to support us through canned food drives, donating charitable dollars and showing up Christmas Eve morning to help Christmas Cheer sort, shop, pack and deliver the holiday boxes are just as blessed.

Mission Statement

Dallas Christmas Cheer began approximately 50 years ago by local community members who wanted to help so that children and families would not go hungry over the holidays. The program evolved over the years and others joined the effort including Dallas Volunteer Fire Department when Curt Lamb and other volunteers set about fixing toys and gathering up items for a meal for those in need and served about 50 local families.
