If you are interested in learning about installing Solar Electrical Systems, this is a highly recommended approach.
Volunteering, they ask you to commit to two days, if possible, that way you can see an entire install process from the point the supplies are offloaded from the truck, to when the power is turned on for the system to go live. Its a fantastic way to learn about Solar, and the staff there, Steve B for example, are very knowledgeable and friendly and patient and will take their time showing you all they know. Usually you work with a main foreman, and a supervisor and 8-12 other volunteers with varying backgrounds and experiences in the field - and newbies like me who does not have a background in Electrical, or Construction.
