Mission Statement

To foster awareness and appreciation of Ohio's native wildlife through rehabilitation, education, and wildlife health studies.

Description

Ohio Wildlife Center has been rehabilitating Ohio’s native wildlife since 1984. As a statewide leader in wildlife animal rescue and rehabilitation, the Center operates the largest donation-supported Wildlife Hospital in Ohio, treating more than 6,000 patients a year. With community services for injured, ill, and orphaned wildlife offered seven days a week, the life-saving work of Ohio Wildlife Center extends throughout Central Ohio and to nearly 60 of Ohio’s 88 counties.

Our Center offers a variety of on-site and outreach education programming for groups of all ages. Public visit days, programs, single-day and summer camps, scout workshops and classes deliver a variety of topics on the environment, conservation and co-existing with wildlife. Special to our Center are more than 50 native wild Animal Ambassadors, many of which were former patients at our Hospital but could not be released back to the wild. Each ambassador brings inspirational stories of their survival and the value of wildlife to the community to life.
