YET runs programs in 30 schools, community centers, and churches throughout Philadelphia that serve K-12 children and youth behind grade level in reading. The centers run Monday through Friday, from 3:30 pm-5:00 pm, and during the summers. Each center has a certified teacher, an assistant teacher, and volunteer reading coaches.
Mission Statement
The YET after-school literacy program seeks to provide quality literacy instruction within walking distance of all Philadelphia children.
