The Road To Recovery Volunteer Driver provides people with transportation to and from their cancer-related medical appointments. Drivers donate their time to help people with cancer get the lifesaving treatments they need. For people with cancer who have no way of getting to treatment, our Road To Recovery(r) program is there to help. Driving patients to lifesaving treatment is one of the most meaningful volunteer experiences you can have with the American Cancer Society. Requirements: - 18 years or older - Valid Driver’s License, and a safely maintained and properly insured vehicle - Pass a Motor Vehicle and Criminal Background Check - Consistent access the internet from a computer, tablet, or smartphone, AND must have a phone (mobile or landline) - Complete and pass Road to Recovery training (100% virtual) - Must have daytime availability Monday-Friday

It was a great experience volunteering today for American Cancer Society. The staff was very welcoming, and it is a great feeling to give back to the community.

Being A Volunteer for the American Cancer Society Road to Recovery program at Hope Lodge is one of the most fulfilling things I have ever done in my life. Both the staff of the American Cancer Society and the residence appreciate whatever service you can give to them. As a Cancer survivor myself it means so much to me to give to the cause of fighting cancer.
