We are looking for patient, caring people to provide free one-on-one tutoring for adults 18 and older. We tutor students in three areas: reading/writing skills, English as a second language, and basic computer skills. Although it helps to have some teaching experience, it is not necessary. We will train you. There is about a six hour training, and a weekly commitment of 1-3 hours. Times can be flexible and we'll work with your schedule. The rewards of seeing progress in your student are great! Join us in helping our community!
Mission Statement
Our mission is to provide free resources to our largely rural area in basic reading, writing, English as a second language, and computer skills. HELP provides the basic tools to assist with employment skills and assist those that are currently employed to progress in their responsibilities. Our vision is to help create a community whose quality and vitality is enhanced by the lifelong learning of all residents and a community whose economic viability is fostered by the availability of a literate workforce.
