Response provides a safe place for people in crisis to speak with someone who will understand, empathize, and collaborate with them to work through the issue precipitating the crisis. They provide their services at no cost. If you want to help people in need, this is the place for you.

The first time I spoke with someone who was thinking about suicide I cried. His pain was palatable. He told a story of love and regret, and spoke so eloquently it was easy to be completely in the moment with him. At the end of the call he said it had helped to talk. He thanked me for being there for him....and at that moment I understood the power of what we do. Response offers training and support for volunteers, and the warmth of everyone involved makes it a place I want to go to.
