Mission Statement

Pug Rescue of San Diego County (PRSDC) is a non-profit, all-volunteer, charitable organization dedicated to rescuing unwanted, neglected, abandoned, and relinquished Pugs and placing them into a new home where they may live out their lives in a loving and caring environment.

Description

Animal Rescue Organization ~ Since our founding in 1991 Pug Rescue of San Diego County has rescued over 4,600 Pugs, and placed the vast majority in new, loving, forever homes. If a Pug needs veterinary care, we provide it before placing the Pug into its new home. All dogs are spayed or neutered before placement.
We are the largest rescue group in the region, and hold 7 fundraising events each year: "Pugs and Kisses" in February ~ "St. PUGtrick Party" in March ~ the 1st Saturday in May: our largest event of the year, the annual Pug Party at the Del Mar Fairgrounds; 350 to 400 Pugs attend ~ "Luau" in August ~" PUGtoberfest" in September ~ Halloween party in October ~ and Christmas Party in December.
