The Catawba Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross is a non-profit values based volunteer organization that assists people throughout the community in planning for, preventing and responding to emergency situations from the local level as the way to the international level. The chapter offers programs in health and safety services (CPR, AED, First Aid, Disease Transmission), emergency services (disaster relief, mitigation, preparing for the unexpected), blood services (sponsorship and canteening), international services (tracing), armed forces, and youth services.
Mission Statement
The Catawba Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross is a humanitarian organization, led by volunteers, that provides relief to victims of disasters and helps people, within the counties of Catawba and Alexander, prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies. The chapter also provides volunteer support to the National American Red Cross efforts within North Carolina and the United States.
