OUR HOUSE Grief Support Center es una organización sin fines de lucro que ofrece grupos de apoyo desde 1993 para asistir con el duelo de niños, adolescentes y adultos en su camino hacia la esperanza y la mejoría. Estamos buscando voluntarios(as) bondadosos(as) y con compasión que realmente quieran hacer una diferencia en la vida de un adulto, para que sean Líderes de los Grupos de Apoyo en el area de Los Angeles y en el Valle de San Fernando. Help someone find hope. Become a Grief Group Leader. OUR HOUSE Grief Support Center is recruiting for volunteer support group leaders. OUR HOUSE is a nonprofit organization providing grief support services, education, resources, and hope throughout the greater Los Angeles area. We provide support groups for children and adults who have experienced the death of someone close. "Volunteering has taught me a lot. The rewards go far beyond just helping people because the work has also changed me in such fundamental ways. When I put aside my own cares to really be present for other people, it brings out the best in me and everyone in my life is richer for it." -Diane Our volunteers are extraordinary people who make a big difference in the lives of grieving children and adults. They co-lead groups in the evenings in our West Los Angeles and Woodland Hills locations or during the day in various schools throughout Los Angeles County. We ask for a one year commitment. Volunteers receive three days of comprehensive training and they receive group supervision once every other week. The average time commitment is about 10-15 hours per month. Do you speak Spanish? We are also looking for bilingual volunteers. We also have a location in West Los Angeles. OUR HOUSE also offers on-site grief support groups and interventions to schools and businesses throughout Los Angeles County.
