Mission Statement

Our mission is to promote, preserve, and protect the Cultural Arts and Historic District of Bluffton and St. Luke's Parish (ca. 1741). The Heyward House Historic Center is operated by the Bluffton Historical Preservation Society. In addition to our 2 historic properties, we also maintain the town archives and serve as the official town welcome center.

Description

There are so many opportunities for every age, skill level, and interest! We would love to have your help with events, house tours, school field trips, house maintenance, and so much more; it is such a rewarding place to work! If you have any interest at all in antebellum homes, Civil War history, architecture, antiques, or more, please contact us!
