Mission Statement

The Shelter for Abused Women believes that all people have the right to live without violence or the fear of violence. We are outraged by violence in our society, especially violence against women and children, and the oppression it creates. Our philosophy is one of empowerment through support and education. We are committed to the elimination of physical, sexual, emotional and economic violence in our community.

Description

We are a battered women's shelter and a sexual assault crisis center. We also provide legal advocacy, outreach in schools, and counseling.

Women like men are human beings, women do Not need to bitten rapped punched just because the guy's upset. Women need to know there is a safe place so she can start over again.I am a nurse so I have seen a number women who. Have been abused. I took care one lady in the ICU that was beaten up pretty badly. I. Said to her you don't deserve this there are places you can go to help you out. A month later she came back and thanked me.
