. Over a century old, the Y is a charitable organization dedicated to developing the full potential of every individual through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all. Open to all, our programs support three core focus areas of Youth Development, Healthy Living and Social Responsibility. Operate at hundreds of Y sites and community locations throughout Central Maryland we impact hundreds of thousands of community members. Through grant funded programs and Y Financial Assistance scholarships made possible through generous community donations, thousands of youth who are financially vulnerable and their families are given the same fair chance to thrive in school and in life that each of us needs and deserves.
