The National Multiple Sclerosis Society funds more MS research, offers more services to people with MS, provides more professional education programs and advances more MS advocacy efforts than any other MS organization in the world. Through its home office and fifty-state network of chapters, the National MS Society provides assistance to over a million people annually in its continuing mission to end the devastating effects of multiple sclerosis.

Seeking out and engaging volunteers to the MS cause is at the very core of our business. Each year the Society organizes a series of community events that provide many opportunities for the enthusiastic volunteer. The Society offers three key fundraising activities: Bike MS, Walk MS and Challenge Walk MS. The Society also engages volunteers to help influence law-makers at the federal, state and municipal levels toward legislation important to people with multiple sclerosis. The Society is looking for passionate volunteers to assist with our events and in our Chapter's offices. We also engage volunteers with expertise in areas such as: marketing communications, public relations, corporate and donor development, medical, legal, and more.

These folks are some of the most friendly, dedicated people I have ever worked with.... they really appreciate everything you do for them and are most generous. A very professional and fun environment.... I thoroughly enjoy my time with this group!

The folks that are in charge of the many events the MS Society has are very friendly, knowledgeable about the event at hand and are always very willing to help you with whatever you need. They take excellant care of their volunteers and are very passionate about what they are doing and very eager to share. They are an awesome and dedicated group of people!

I highly recommend volunteering with the National MS Society - Mid Atlantic Chapter! Everyone is very friendly and appreciative all volunteer efforts. There are many events throughout the year and it is very easy to get involved. The staff is great to work with and are all committed to finding an end to MS!
