The Center works with local government officials and citizens to build interest, knowledge, and involvement in regional land use and development issues. The goal is to arrest a "sprawl without population growth" regional development pattern, and replace it with land use and development that enhances cities and villages, improves the efficiency and vitality of suburban communities, and that protects rural land and resources.
Mission Statement
The Common Good Planning Center promotes economical, ecological, and equitable land use and development in the nine-county Genesee/Finger Lakes Region.
