Mission Statement

Our mission is to connect people, earth, water and wildlife in an urban setting by farming regeneratively, enhancing wildlife habitat, and educating our community to grow food for themselves and others in a arid climate.

Description

Rio Grande Community Farm is a certified organic urban farm located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. RGCF was founded as a non-profit organization in 1997 and has grown to support acres of wildlife habitat, a 2-acre community garden, year-round environmental education opportunities, and a center for strengthening food and sustainable agriculture literacy in Albuquerque. The Farm offers activities for all age groups - including Farm tours, workshops, and service projects. Scores of people grow their own food in the Community Garden. Thousands explore the annual Maize Maze in September and October. Please visit our website to learn more: http://riograndefarm.org/

My son and I had a lot of fun at this event. We didn't even realize the maze was located there until we volunteered here. Will definitely keep it in mind for future fall seasons!
