Adelante is a locally founded nonprofit 501(c)3 human service agency with locations throughout New Mexico. A

Adelante was formed in 1978, a time when ideas such as independence, rights, choice and respect were emerging. The agency embraced those concepts and decided to make a real difference in the lives of people with disabilities.

Since then, Adelante has taken the opportunity to expand services as needs have arisen. Today, the agency is a diverse nonprofit organization that supports people with mental and physical disabilities, seniors, and disadvantaged populations across New Mexico. We innovate to meet the needs of the community.

Adelante and Friend In Time helped me rebuild my self esteem..having lost a job left me feeling broken and lost. Adelante Volunteer coordinator and fellow employees gave me tasks that were on a stress free enjoyable level. They are compassionate to people, great sense of humor, loyal to helping others, care about not just people with special needs but everyone. Friends In Time really made a difference. Their staff listens and helps their clients feel less invisable. I did a phone survey for Friends In Time to roughly 100 clients.. 99% were so grateful and appreciative to FIT that it made me want to be apart of such a wonderful organization. Adelante's organization treats their clients / employees of what I could see in the past 8 months with respect, dignity, and a dash of humor. They are all professional and truly care. I went there feeling broken and lost and now go every day if I can to help because I truly beleive their a company I beleive in. Regards, Robin Hecker
