Volunteers mentor children, 5-18 years old, in one-to-one relationships. Mentors serve as role models helping the children increase their self-confidence, develop social skills, and reach their full potential. Being a Big Brother or Big Sister is about simple, magical moments like... going to your first ball game, catching butterflies, learning to play "chopsticks". As a "Big" you are simply a friend to a child. If you know how to have fun, you know how to be a Big Brother or Big Sister!
Mission Statement
The mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Midland, Texas, Inc. is to help children from single parent homes reach their maximum potential, by providing volunteers to act as positive role models, mentors, and friends.
