Providing recently arrived refugees with the resources, referrals and guidance needed to build successful, self-sufficient lives in Texas. With public and private sector support, we continue to serve clients from trouble spots the world over, such as: Burma, Bhutan, the Middle East, and Africa.

Description

Refugee Services of Texas is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit agency affiliated with Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Services (LIRS), Church World Service (CWS) and Episcopal Migration Ministries (EMM). Since 1978, RST has successfully resettled more that 15,000 refugees. Currently we have offices in: Amarillo, Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth and Houston.

All volunteers need to complete an orientation session with the volunteer coordinator prior to involvement.

Yes, I'm a refugee as well and willing to help all the refugees those who could not speak English very well.I'm from Burma, can speak four languages of Burma. I just want to help like case worker in Fort Worth,TX. Helping other is make different life/ change better life.
